The 'second wine' of Sassicaia, although very much a fine wine in it's own right. A very appealing and refined wine with an attractive bouquet of bright red cherries with darker sweeter notes in the background and a hint of violets, the 2013 has a lovely supple fruit character on the palate with excellent length and a fine mineral structure. Elegantly balanced and well-defined, this wine needs a year or two in bottle before drinking and will age well for twenty years. Drink 2016-2030.
