Tasting Note: An intense expression of red berries, cherries and figs, with a lovely hint of spices and truffles. Velvety, complex, yet balanced, expressing notes of blackberries and figs, with an undergrowth finish.

Domaine Simon Bize & Fils was created in 1880 by the great grandfather Simon Bize, who owned a few vineyard parcels. The holdings are, with minor exceptions, entirely within the Savigny AOC, a mix of 1er Cru and Villages wines. Viticulture is all important here, taking care of generally old vines, without chemicals or pesticides. Winemaking is an art, making the most of low yields using traditional methods. The result is a range of wines of quality - This is without any doubt Savigny's leading domaine.
