Let's Talk About Our February New Arrivals
The Mid-Season Selection
A new month means it's time for a new mixed-case! January has historically been the most sedate time in the wine merchants calendar but we've put that time to good use and have been busy hunting out exciting new wines for you all to try.
Bright and flowery, this light and dry wine is crisp, with a racy acidity that gives it mouth-watering appeal. This lively Pinot Grigio offers good mid-palate balance, with a clean finish. It's exactly what you want from Pinot Grigio.
Refreshing, juicy Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, filling the nose with gooseberry and fresh-cut grass and with a lovely, refreshing grapefruit note on the palate. A lovely alternative for those that enjoy a Marlborough Sauv.
A delicious, yet lesser-known grape varietal, Chilean Carmenere results in fantastically beautiful, medium-bodied, fruit-forward wines. Expect an array of berries, red fruits, spice, smokiness and earth on both the nose and palate.
Laudan Chusclan Cotes du Rhone Villages - Edward's Pick
Integrated notes of spice, char and toast lend flair to juicy black-cherry and grape-jelly flavours in this wine. It's densely fruity and approachable with a voluptuous demeanour. Fresh acidity and firm, grippy tannins lend elegance to the finish.
From a selection of old vineyards, between 50 and 70 years old, located in Rioja Alta. Fresh, fruity Rioja from old vines, all raspberry and liquorice, with a touch of herbaceousness on the nose.
D’Arenberg The Stump Jump Shiraz - Morgan's Pick
From one of Australia’s finest estates, this is a beauty, chock-full of fresh blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate sprinkled with spices. The palate is fresh and juicy, ripe red fruits mix with plums, blackcurrant, flowers and a twist of black pepper. All underlayed with d'Arenberg's trademark earthiness.
